We booked this trip to celebrate my husband's birthday & needed a room to accommodate us and our 2 adult children. The hotel near Times Square location is excellent but you pay for that with crowds & higher prices (near Rockefeller Center Christmas tree & Saks 5th Avenue Christmas display). NYC is an EXPENSIVE city - even more than London. As a Cdn, each night was approx. $1350 total, which is outrageously expensive but better than getting 2 separate hotel rooms. We liked the space & having a fridge, coffee maker, etc. We came from Penn Station & suggest taking the subway north 2 stops then walking 1 block to hotel. Avoid a cab!! Prepare for crowds and be able to carry your luggage up and down stairs though. The bathroom is small but has a handy deep well under the window to put shower things. Our request for extra pillows and towels was accommodated and staff were friendly. Good hot water supply. We liked the plugs in the lamps to put our chargers. The room faced inside at the back so wasn't too noisy; front would be super noisy. I always pack earplugs. Our son slept on the pull-out couch in the living room. In the bedroom, our daughter had one bed and we had the other. It worked fine. The room was clean and was serviced daily. We liked that there was a safe to store our passports and Cdn money. The room has a small kitchen stocked with a small 4-cup coffee maker, stove-top kettle, toaster, dishes, cutlery & pots and pans if one wants a longer stay. If you stay longer, I highly recommend bringing food & spices as there are no grocery stores nearby & you won't save much buying from high-priced bodegas or delis. 4 coffee pouches were provided but the coffee wasn't great. There are no "deals" in NYC so be prepared to spend 2-3 times more than you may normally on a given holiday anywhere in USA or Canada. Food in Manhattan is crazy expensive ($20 for 3 pancakes, $5.50/muffin).

1) Location! On 49th St between 6/7 Ave right across from Rockerfeller Center, this is as central as it gets with tons of different metro lines within 2 blocks 2) Room. Our one-bedroom King suite was spacious with a well-equipped kitchen, making our 9-day stay in NYC much more like staying at home 3) Daily room cleaning service was great. The staff made our bed, kept towels fresh, and replenished tea/coffee bags

Location is great for being close to Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park. Close to several subway lines - very convenient. It felt a bit like stepping back in time - all the old trappings of the building are still in place (old mail chutes, original woodwork, movie-worthy square stairways). I liked having a tiny kitchen. Linens were clean and crisp, beds were comfortable.

Valerie

For going to theatre it's the best location as after the show, you'll be in your room within 10 min. We had two bdroom unit and for NyC hotel, it was very spacious. The closet drawers didn't work smoothly and the facility is old but it was clean. The house keeping was done every day and efficient.

Kaoru

The location is ideal for main Manhattan points of interest: Times square, subway, Rockfeller center, Broadway theatres, etc. Very helpful and kind staff, offered umbrellas for rainy day, after check out they kept our luggages till late flight (10 PM). Not noisy at all.
